IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN PUBLIC MEETINGS ACT OF THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY ON JANUARY 12, 2023.
ADEQUATE NOTICE OF THIS MEETING WAS PROVIDED AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
FOR PUBLIC ACCESS, PLEASE EMAIL YOUR QUESTIONS TO COUNTY BOARD MEETING AT CO.SOMERSET.NJ .US.
PLEASE RISE FOR THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE.
REMAIN STANDING FOR REFLECTIONS.
WE PRAY FOR THOSE WHO ARE SUFFERING AND ARE LESS FORTUNATE THAN US.
WE PRAY FOR THE FAMILIES AND THOSE THAT ARE SUFFERING IN UKRAINE.
WE PRAY FOR THOSE WHO DON'T HAVE ENOUGH TO EAT.
COMMISSIONER DRAKE. COMMISSIONER MARANO HERE.
COMMISSIONER SOOY, DEPUTY DIRECTOR SINGLETERRY HERE.
I'LL KEEP MY REMARKS AND REPORTS VERY BRIEF BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO TAKE AWAY FROM ANY LIAISON ASSIGNMENTS OR REPORTS, BUT DEFINITELY HAD A GREAT TIME LAST WEEK.
AS I CALLED BACK IN THE SADDLE WITH LORD STERLING STABLES.
SOME OF US HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO RIDE.
SO I'M SURE COMMISSIONER DRAKE WILL HAVE MORE ON THAT WITH THE PARTICULARS.
ALSO, WE'RE FORGING AHEAD AS WE MOVE TOWARDS BEING ABLE TO BE PREPARED TO INTRODUCE A BUDGET IN THE NORMAL TIME THAT WE USUALLY DO. SO FINANCE MEETINGS AND BUDGET CONVERSATIONS ARE HAPPENING AT THIS TIME.
THE SOMERSET COUNTY VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL HAD THEIR BOARD MEETING LAST NIGHT, AND IT WAS NOTED THAT ON FEBRUARY 4TH THE SCHOOL HAD THEIR OPEN HOUSE AND THERE WERE 387 PEOPLE WHO REGISTERED, BUT THEY BELIEVE OVER 500 PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY ATTENDED.
THAT WAS ONE OF THEIR LARGEST GROUPS THAT THEY'VE HAD IN QUITE SOME TIME.
AND THEY SAID THAT THE NUMBER ONE INTEREST WAS THE COMPUTER SCIENCE PROGRAM, WHICH WHEN THE NEW BUILDING GOES IN, THEY'LL BE ABLE TO DOUBLE THE NUMBER OF COMPUTER SCIENCE OFFERINGS. ALSO, I WANTED TO MENTION THIS STUDENTS, THE HIGH SCHOOL'S NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY AND THE NATIONAL TECHNICAL HONOR SOCIETY JOINED TO HELP LOCAL FOOD BANKS.
IN ADDITION, A MONETARY DONATION OF $110 WAS MADE TO THE FRANKLIN FOOD BANK IN SOMERSET.
AND I ALSO JUST WANTED TO MENTION THAT IN TERMS OF INTEREST BEING UP RARITAN VALLEY COMMUNITY COLLEGE, THEIR ENROLLMENT WAS UP 15% THIS SPRING.
SO THAT IS DEFINITELY VERY GOOD NEWS.
THE WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD IS HAVING A MANUFACTURING RECRUITMENT EVENT ON MARCH 7TH.
THIS IS AGAIN GOING TO BE ON MARCH 7TH FROM 9:30 TO 12 P.M.
RIGHT HERE IN SOMERVILLE, 27 WARREN STREET, FIRST FLOOR CONFERENCE ROOM.
WE'RE CONTINUING TO PROVIDE COVID VACCINATIONS.
[00:05:09]
BOULEVARD FROM 2 TO 6 P.M., AND THE SENIOR WELLNESS CENTER IN BRIDGEWATER WILL BE PROVIDING COVID VACCINATIONS ON MARCH 8TH AND MARCH 22ND FROM 4 TO 7:30 P.M., AND ALSO FOR THOSE WHO ARE HOMEBOUND.THEY CAN CALL OR TEXT 88445690390.
THANK YOU. LAST SATURDAY, I ATTENDED THE HEALTH AND RESOURCE FAIR, WHICH WAS PUT ON BY A ROBERT WOOD JOHNSON AND A FEW OF OUR OTHER PARTNERS.
IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF BEHAVIORAL OR MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES, ACTUALLY RUTGERS UNIVERSITY HAS MOVED INTO OUR TERRITORY AND THEY DO OFFER COMPLETELY FREE ASSISTANCE.
SO IF YOU NEED HELP, IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE THAT DOES, PLEASE CHECK OUT THEIR WEBSITE OR OURS.
FOR OUR HUMAN SERVICES DIVISION, PASTOR FRANCO, HE'S BEEN A HUGE PARTNER.
WE DO TRY TO BRING IN FAITH BASED ORGANIZATIONS TO REALLY REACH OUT TO THE COMMUNITY.
IT WAS GREAT TO SEE PEOPLE THAT WERE WALKING IN THAT NEEDED HELP.
THIS WAS ALSO AN EFFORT TO, YOU KNOW.
KEEP THE CONVERSATION GOING AND THE EFFORTS FOR RECOVERY JUST BECAUSE IT WAS QUITE SOME TIME AGO DOESN'T MEAN THAT PEOPLE AREN'T STILL STRUGGLING AND THESE ARE NOT PROBLEMS THAT ARE FIXED OVERNIGHT.
SO THAT TOOK PLACE AT SAINT PAUL'S CHURCH OVER IN REARDON.
TOMORROW, THE SOMERSET COUNTY COMMISSION ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN.
WE HAVE A MEET THE SOMERSET COUNTY TEAM AT 5:00 AND WE HAVE TWO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ATTENDING.
TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE COUNTY AND HOW WE OPERATE.
SO IT'S GREAT TO SEE MORE YOUTH LEARNING HANDS ON, SEEING AND SHADOWING DIFFERENT COMMISSIONS AND ORGANIZATIONS THAT PARTNER WITH US AND LOOKING TO GROW MORE ON THAT PROGRAM. WE ALSO HAVE THE COMMISSION ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN.
MONTHLY MEETING THAT HAPPENS RIGHT AFTER AT 6:00.
SO WE'RE LOOKING FORWARD TO MORE PROJECTS COMING COMING SOON.
THANK YOU. WE HAD AN OPPORTUNITY WITH COMMISSIONER DRAKE TO ATTEND THE NATIONAL RESOURCES CONSERVATION PROGRAM ON SOIL CONSERVATION AND WORKSHOP AND OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, STATE GOVERNMENT, THE USDA.
LORD STERLING STABLES, AS THE DIRECTOR SAID, WAS A LOT OF FUN.
THERE WAS THAT MADE MY WEEK, SO IT WAS GOOD TO HAVE THEIR GO OUT, SIGN UP, GET A RIDE.
IT'S OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, SO PLEASE ENJOY THESE HORSES.
I ALSO HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO ATTEND THE UKRAINIAN CULTURAL CENTER PRAYER VIGIL TO COMMEMORATE THE FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF THE RUSSIAN INVASION. IT WAS DEEPLY MOVING.
SO WE PRAY THAT THIS CONFLICT END SOON.
PUBLIC WORKS JUST COLLECTED BIDS TODAY.
WE'RE HOPING IN CALENDAR YEAR 2023 TO HAVE THOSE BUSSES ON THE ROAD IF ALL THINGS GO WELL.
SO FINGERS CROSSED WE'VE GOT THAT COMING DOWN THE HORIZON, WHICH IS GREAT NEWS.
AND I JUST WANT TO REMIND EVERYONE THAT THIS WEEKEND THE PLAY PARADE WILL BE IN PERFORMANCE BY THE AMERICAN THEATER GROUP AT THE SZYMANSKI THEATER IN BASKING RIDGE.
THAT'S WITHIN THE FELLOWSHIP VILLAGE.
ALL RIGHT. THANK YOU. I ALSO ATTENDED THE LORD STERLING STABLE REOPENING.
BUT I TOOK MERCY ON THE HORSES.
I DO EXCEED THE £190 WEIGHT LIMIT.
[00:10:04]
AND YOU CAN REGISTER ONLINE.APPARENTLY THEY GO OUT A MONTH IN ADVANCE AND YOU CAN REGISTER AND RESERVE A HORSE AND ULTIMATELY ENJOY THAT GREAT RESOURCE UP IN STERLING STABLE THE PARK ITSELF.
AND ASIDE FROM THE MANY PRAYERS THAT WERE OFFERED IN SUPPORT OF UKRAINE, THERE WAS AN EXTENSIVE PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBIT THAT WAS THERE AND THAT I THINK WAS JUST MIND BLOWING IN TERMS OF THE AMOUNT OF DESTRUCTION AND THE AMOUNT OF IMPACT THAT'S ALREADY OCCURRED AND SO VISUALLY DEMONSTRATED BY PHOTOGRAPHY.
AGAIN, THE PHOTOGRAPHS WERE NOT ONLY COMPELLING, BUT VERY HEARTBREAKING TO SEE, BUT NEVERTHELESS, WE RECOGNIZE HOW WE'RE SO FAR AWAY, BUT WE CAN STILL PROVIDE SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE TO UKRAINE.
AND CERTAINLY I KNOW THEY'RE ALWAYS TAKING DONATIONS AT, YOU KNOW, IN SUPPORT OF THEM.
ALSO ON SUNDAY, I ATTENDED THE BLACK HISTORY MONTH CELEBRATION IN NORTH PLAINFIELD.
AND SPECIAL THANKS GO OUT TO COUNCILWOMAN FIONA MILLER, WHO HELPED ORGANIZE THE EVENT.
AND I GOT TO SAY, BETWEEN THE SONGS, THE STEP DANCING, THE STORYTELLING AND THE SPOKEN WORD, IT WAS CERTAINLY VERY INSPIRING AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM.
SO THAT WAS A GREAT THING TO ATTEND.
AND ALSO THE MONTH OF MARCH INTO MAY, DOWN AT THE EXHIBIT DOWNSTAIRS ARE ME HOSTING THE FARM TO FRAME ART EXHIBIT, WHICH IS AN EXHIBIT NOT ONLY COOPERATION WITH THE FARMERS IN SOMERSET COUNTY, BUT ALSO ARTISTS THROUGHOUT SOMERSET COUNTY.
AND IF YOU MAY RECALL, LAST YEAR WE SPONSORED THROUGH THE ART PROGRAM ARTISTS, AND THERE'S BEEN 30 ARTISTS FROM NEW JERSEY THAT HAD PAINTED PAINTINGS OF OUR LOCAL FARMS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY.
AND I UNDERSTAND THAT THEY WILL BE FOR SALE.
SO IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN GETTING A NICE FARM PORTRAIT, YOU CAN CERTAINLY DO THAT.
AND THEN FINALLY, THE THERE WAS A CONFERENCE BEING PROPOSED OR BEING PLANNED BY JESSICA PAOLINI.
AND IT IS A FREE CONFERENCE, BUT IT ALSO IS BRINGING TOGETHER A WHOLE HOST OF ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE, FOLKS FROM THE STATE, AS WELL AS THE COUNTY AND OTHER COUNTIES. AND WE'RE ANTICIPATING THE SIGNIFICANT ATTENDANCE.
BUT REGISTRATION IS STILL OPEN.
IF YOU'D LIKE TO ATTEND, YOU CAN REACH OUT TO JESSICA PAOLINI DIRECTLY AT 9082317159.
OR IS THAT 715757? ALL RIGHT. ANYWAY, IT LOOKS LIKE A SEVEN.

LOT. NINE IN BRIDGEWATER, WHICH IS THE BATTERY FARM.
I KNEW I WAS TRYING TO GET TO YOU.
I DON'T KNOW IF MR. DRAKE WANTS TO SPEAK TO THAT.
AND THE LAST ONE IS FROM THE COUNTY CLERK.
AUTHORIZE AN AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR S AND ESSENCE SOFTWARE UNDER THE LOCAL PUBLIC CONTRACTS LAW FOR ELECTION PROGRAM AND FEES TOTAL NOT TO EXCEED $1,820.
SURE. THANK YOU. SO JUST A FEW COMMENTS ON THE SUSTAINABILITY POLICY FACILITIES POLICY.
IT'S REALLY A CONCERTED EFFORT BETWEEN THE SOMERSET COUNTY ENERGY COUNCIL, THE ENGINEERING OFFICE, PUBLIC WORKS AND THE PLANNING OFFICE REALLY JUST TO COME TOGETHER TO ADVANCE OUR INITIATIVES ON CLIMATE CHANGE.
IF YOU MAY RECALL, LAST YEAR WE DID ADOPT A POLICY ON CLIMATE CHANGE AND THIS KIND OF TAKES IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL, ADVANCING THE FACILITIES POLICY SO THAT OUR EXISTING BUILDING STOCK, AS WELL AS FUTURE BUILDING STOCK IN SOMERSET COUNTY, AS WELL AS PROPERTIES THAT WE NOW HAVE A STRONG POLICY FOR HOW WE'RE GOING TO LOOK AT THEM IN VIEW OF CLIMATE CHANGE AND VIEW OF SUSTAINABILITY.
THIS IS WHEREAS THE SOMERSET COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS RECOGNIZES AND EMBRACES THE GLOBAL SCIENTIFIC CONSENSUS ON THE ROLE HUMAN ACTIVITIES HAVE PLAYED IN CONTRIBUTING TO CLIMATE CHANGE, PRIMARILY BY COMBUSTING FOSSIL FUELS TO PRODUCE POWER AND HEATING, AND BY CONVERTING FORESTS TO INDUSTRIAL, COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIAL PROPERTIES. AND.
[00:35:03]
FUTURE CONSTRUCTION, MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR PROJECTS RELATING TO COUNTY BUILDINGS AND PROPERTIES WILL UNDERGO A REQUIRED ASSESSMENT TO IMPROVE ENERGY EFFICIENCY, REDUCE THE IMPACTS OF HEAT ISLANDS, AND MINIMIZE THE USE OF PESTICIDES AND INCREASE WATER AND ENERGY CONSERVATION.AND THEN WE BASICALLY GO ON AND SAY, NOW FOR BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS DOES HEREBY ADOPT A FACILITY SUSTAINABILITY POLICY FOR ALL FUTURE CONSTRUCTION, MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR PROJECTS RELATED TO COUNTY BUILDINGS AND PROPERTIES.
SO IT GOES ON TO SAY, BUT SO I THINK THIS REALLY TAKES THIS TO THE LEVEL NECESSARY NOT ONLY TO ESTABLISH A CLEAR POLICY IN THE COUNTY, BUT ALSO MAKE IT CLEAR IN WRITING THAT OUR GOALS ARE TO ADVANCE INITIATIVES FOR IMPROVING OUR EFFECT ON CLIMATE CHANGE.
SO WE'RE TAKING THIS INITIATIVE TODAY AND THIS WILL BE ON THE WORK OR THE TO BE ADOPTED THIS MEETING AT OUR NEXT MEETING, CORRECT? YES. YEAH. DO WE HAVE ANY QUESTIONS? THEIR MOTION TO ADD RESOLUTIONS 23-465 THROUGH 23, DASH 469 TO OUR 6:00 SESSION OR OUR NEXT SESSION FOR THIS EVENING.
ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS? COMMENTS. ALL RIGHT.
ROLL CALL PLEASE PORTION OF OUR MEETING.
THOSE WHO ARE WISHING TO COME UP.
WE ALSO TAKE QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS FROM SOCIAL MEDIA AND EMAIL.
NO YIELDING OF TIME. PLEASE STATE YOUR NAME AND YOUR ADDRESS FOR THE RECORD.
IS THERE A MOTION TO OPEN TO PUBLIC AS A SECOND? ALL IN FAVOR? AYE.
MY NAME IS [INAUDIBLE] JIMENEZ.
I AM A RESIDENT OF HILLSBOROUGH, NEW JERSEY.
348 JIM AND I DRIVE APARTMENT NUMBER THREE.
YOU GIVE IT TO THE CLERK AND SHE'LL MAKE SURE WE GET IT.
MY NAME IS [INAUDIBLE] JIMENEZ.
I AM THE FOUNDER OF NEW JERSEY BUNNY PARENTS, WHICH IS THE BIGGEST CLUB IN NEW JERSEY FOR OWNERS OF BUNNIES IN NEW JERSEY. I KNOW IT MIGHT SOUND MIGHT SOUND WEIRD FOR A 34 YEAR OLD TO COME HERE AND SPEAK ABOUT BUNNIES, BUT IT'S PART OF ADVOCATING FOR ANIMALS WHO DON'T HAVE A VOICE.
WE'VE BEEN AROUND FOR ABOUT FIVE YEARS.
THE MAIN REASON THAT I'M HERE IS BECAUSE THE FOUR CELL INDUSTRY AND THE BREEDER INDUSTRY FOR PETS, THEY'VE HAD 60, 70 YEARS TO GET THEIR CRAFT TOGETHER.
OUR TEAM ARE ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM WHO COMES FROM ALL AGES, ALL POLITICAL WALKS OF LIFE.
WE HAVE BEEN WORKING RELENTLESSLY WITH SHELTERS, RESCUING ANIMALS IN TRENTON IN EVERY PART OF NEW JERSEY, UNDERNEATH CARS, UNDERNEATH SHEDS.
THE BUNNIES THAT YOU ARE SEEING RIGHT NOW, THOSE ARE THE LUCKY ONES.
NOW, ON THE STATE LEVEL, WE HAVE A BILL THAT IS SLOWLY COMING UP ITS WAY AND WILL BAN THE SALE OF FOR PROFIT STORES FOR ANIMALS, AND IT WILL REQUIRE THEM TO WORK WITH SHELTERS TO BE ABLE TO PROVIDE ADOPTION
[00:40:06]
ONLY PETS, NOT JUST BUNNIES.PETS. NOW, REAL CHANGE HAPPENS FROM A BOTTOM UP.
WE'VE BEEN TRYING TO APPLY PRESSURE ON THE STATE LEVEL TO WORK TOGETHER.
BUT SINCE REAL CHANGE ONLY HAPPENS FOR THE BOTTOM UP, THAT'S WHY I'M HERE.
AND I'M ASKING THE COMMISSIONERS TO PLEASE CREATE A PROGRAM WHERE PET STORES WORK DIRECTLY WITH SHELTERS WHO HAVE HUNDREDS OF BUNNIES AND OTHER ANIMALS TRYING TO TAKE CARE OF THEM.
MULTIPLE SHELTERS HAVE GONE UNDER SINCE 2020 BECAUSE NOW IN 2021, 2022, WE SEE HUNDREDS OF ANIMALS OUT THERE THAT NEEDED TO BE RESCUED AND OUR TEAM WILL CONTINUOUSLY DO IT.
MY ONE OF OUR MEMBERS HAVE A BAD BACK.
SO WE ARE ENERGIZED TO BE ABLE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
AND THERE'S NO REASON WHY WE SHOULD NOT CREATE A PROGRAM IN SOMERSET COUNTY WHERE THAT RELATIONSHIP OF THE SHELTERS AND STORES ARE STRONGER, WHERE FOUR CELL PROFIT IS VIRTUALLY GONE BECAUSE THERE ARE ENOUGH ANIMALS AT THESE SHELTERS TO PACK EVERY ONE OF THESE STORES UP.
WE'VE BEEN TRYING TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC LIKE CRAZY BECAUSE BREEDERS RELY ON IGNORANCE.
ALL THEY DO IS POST PICTURES ONLINE.
OH, WE HAVE TEN BUNNIES, $56 EACH.
AND THAT'S WHY I'M VERY EMOTIONAL ABOUT THIS.
I PERSONALLY I HAVE A BUNNY CURRENTLY.
NAME IS GODZILLA AND HE HAS BEEN HELPING US.
FACEBOOK HAS GIVEN US THREE CONTRACTS TO SHOWCASE OUR WORK OUT OF HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF GROUPS AND CLUBS. THEY PICKED US AND EVERY DOLLAR THAT WE RAISE GO TO THE THESE SHELTERS WHO ARE STRUGGLING TO MAKE ENDS MEET, WHO ARE STRUGGLING TO FIND VOLUNTEERS BECAUSE FOR PROFIT INDUSTRY AND BREEDERS DON'T GIVE A CRAP.
THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT FAST MONEY.
AND WE COULD CHANGE THAT RIGHT NOW IN SOMERSET COUNTY AND REALLY SHOW OTHER COUNTIES HOW IT'S DONE AND FURTHER APPLY THAT PRESSURE TO MAKE SURE THAT THE SAME LAW THAT PASSED IN NEW YORK PASSES THE NEW JERSEY.
THANK YOU. ANYONE ELSE WISHING TO COME FORWARD.
GOOD EVENING. MY NAME IS JOAN SHILLER.
CAN YOU HEAR ME? ALL OF MY CHILDREN.
LA OK BETWEEN THE WORK SESSION TONIGHT AND TONIGHT'S REGULAR SESSION.
YOU'RE GOING TO SPEND ALMOST $400,000 TO TWO COMPANIES MAD PROPERTY AND TECH IN 22ND CENTURY TECHNOLOGIES FOR COVID COVERAGE.
I LOOKED THAT UP. THERE'S NO WEBSITE AND THE ONE PERSON AFFILIATED WITH THAT DOES NOT HAVE ANY MEDICAL DEGREE OR TRAINING, IT SEEMS. AND 22ND CENTURY TECHNOLOGY SEEMS TO BE A SOFTWARE TECHNOLOGY COMPANY AGAIN IN VIRGINIA.
SO WE'RE NOT PUTTING OUR MONEY IN NEW JERSEY.
SO I ALSO MY RESEARCH SAW THE STATE HAS SOME FREE MOBILE CLINICS THAT PEOPLE USE, AND DIFFERENT COUNTIES HAVE THEIR OWN VEHICLES WHERE THEY HIRE THEIR OWN NURSES OR PAYS TO GO AND GIVE VACCINES.
TO ME, THAT SEEMS LIKE IT MAY BE A BETTER ALTERNATIVE THAN SPENDING 400,000 TO OUTSIDE NEW JERSEY COMPANIES WITHOUT MEDICAL BACKGROUND.
SO I'D LIKE TO PRESENT THAT THOSE OPTIONS.
AND DEPUTY SINGLETARY, YOU MENTIONED TONIGHT THE PHONE NUMBERS AND THE EMAIL ON YOUR WEBSITE.
IF PEOPLE SHOULD NEED THEIR COVID VACCINES.
I'D BE VERY CURIOUS FOR DATA ON HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE CALLED THAT HOTLINE OR EMAILED YOU WITHIN THE PAST SIX MONTHS, BECAUSE IT SEEMS LIKE EVERYONE I KNOW IF THEY'VE WANTED TO GET VACCINATED AND BOOSTED, THEY HAVE ALREADY AND I'M NOT AWARE OF NEW ONES CONSTANTLY COMING OUT.
[00:45:07]
THANK YOU. ANYONE ELSE.ALBERT WERNER. 3305 FOLSOM WAY, BASKING RIDGE.
I HAVE SOME CONCERNS REGARDING UNDER VEHICLE MAINTENANCE ITEMS. 23, DASH 551 AND 552.
REGARDING 101,000 FOR VEHICLE MAINTENANCE AND THE SECOND 552 420,000 TO WHITEMARSH AND INDEPENDENT COMPANIES.
MY QUESTION IS JUST ABOUT THE APPROXIMATE NUMBER OF.
AND THAT'S THAT'S REALLY MY QUESTION.
IN OTHER WORDS, IF IF THE NUMBER IS LARGE, IT WOULD CERTAINLY JUSTIFY THESE FIGURES FOR MAINTENANCE.
THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION IS THE NUMBER IS LARGE AND VARIED.
SO AND THESE ARE PREVIOUSLY AWARDED CONTRACTS.
SO WE OPEN WHAT WE CALL LIKE A BLANKET, RIGHT? SO WE SAY TO A VENDOR BASED ON OUR PAST EXPERIENCE, WE'VE USED YOU BEFORE AND NOW WE MAY USE YOU AGAIN.
SO IT AWARDS THE CONTRACT AND CERTIFIES THE FUNDS NOT EVERY AMOUNT.
SO THIS JUST ESTABLISHES A BASE BASED UPON OUR PAST EXPERIENCE.
WE ALWAYS HOPE THAT WE CAN GO UNDER.
THE OTHER THING YOU SHOULD KNOW IS WE DO MAINTAIN OUR OWN FLEET OF MECHANICS.
SO A LOT OF THESE THINGS ARE PARTS.
SO WE DO SAVE A LOT OF MONEY BY DOING STUFF IN-HOUSE.
YOU KNOW, WE HAVE AN EXTENSIVE GARAGE WITH HEAVY LIFTS.
WE ALSO HAVE BUSSES AND THINGS, RIGHT? SO IT'S A HEFTY NUMBER.
SO I'M GLAD YOU APPRECIATE THE FACT THAT ONCE YOU GET THE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION, IT DOESN'T LOOK IT'S THAT YEAH, I KNOW HOW EXPENSIVE PARTS AND LABOR AND FACILITIES ARE TO MAINTAIN VEHICLES AND SO ON.
SO I JUST WANTED TO GET A AN IDEA, BUT I KNOW IT'S A GREAT QUESTION.
THANK YOU. WE'LL FOLLOW UP WITH REGARDS TO THE FLEET, ARE THERE OTHERS WISHING TO COME UP? AND THE YOUNG LADY WE HAVE REACHED OUT WITH A MEDICAL CORPS TEAM CONSISTS OF DOCTORS AND NURSES AND THE NUMBERS ARE JUST NOT THERE TO SUPPORT OUR NEEDS AND DEMANDS.
SO THAT WAS THE ROUTE WE ACTUALLY WENT WHEN CULVERT FIRST STARTED.
AND WE ALSO REACHED OUT TO ROBERT WOOD JOHNSON TO PARTNER WITH THEM TO LOAN US SOME OF THEIR NURSES AND DOCTORS TO ADMINISTER THESE VACCINES. WELL, YOUR TIME IS UP, BUT WE CAN FOLLOW UP AFTER THIS.
GOOD EVENING. MY NAME IS PAT STANLEY, SEVEN HUDSON COURT, FRANKLIN PARK, NEW JERSEY.
AND I REALLY JUST HAVE A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS.
ONE IS REALLY KIND OF LIKE A POINT OF ORDER.
I NOTICE THAT YOU'RE MOVING THROUGH ALL OF THESE ITEMS VERY QUICKLY.
AND I WAS JUST CURIOUS AS TO WHEN DO YOU MEET TO DISCUSS THE DETAILS, BECAUSE IT SEEMS LIKE THERE'S QUITE A BIT OF MONEY PASSING THROUGH THE PROCESS. AND LIKE, FOR EXAMPLE, JUST HERE'S AN EXAMPLE.
I WAS JUST CURIOUS NOW, DO YOU DISCUSS I MEAN, HOW MANY MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL ARE THERE? DID YOU DISCUSS WHO THEY ARE, WHAT THEIR BACKGROUND MIGHT BE? I'M JUST CURIOUS AS TO WHEN THE DETAILED DISCUSSIONS ARE TAKING PLACE.
AND THEN I JUST HAVE ONE MORE POINT.
[00:50:02]
WELL SO WEED SOFTWARE IS ACTUALLY A COMPANY THAT IS DOING BUSINESS AS SITEL AND SITEL IS AN INTERNATIONAL COMPANY THAT RUNS ELECTIONS.AND I THINK WHEN NOTING THAT SITEL IS A COMPANY THAT'S REALLY KIND OF GLOBALLY ORIENTED AND THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO ARE CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES WHO ARE A LITTLE BIT CONCERNED ABOUT THE INTERNATIONAL SITUATION IN TERMS OF WHETHER THE ELECTRONIC MANIPULATION OF OUR ELECTIONS AND THINGS OF THAT NATURE.
SO I THINK IF YOU COULD JUST MAKE NOTE THAT THAT'S.
SO SOFTWARE WAS PURCHASED BY SITEL IN 2012 AND THESE THIS INFORMATION, IT JUST KIND OF LETS IT PUTS OUT A LITTLE MORE DETAIL THAT WE ARE OPERATING WITH AN INTERNATIONAL FIRM.
SO THERE ARE TWO COMMENTS ONLINE.
IN SHELTERS THAT SHELTERS AND RESCUES ARE OVERWHELMED AND IT'S TIME TO BAN A SALE ON PETS.
JOHN FEELY NOTES THAT AS A TAXPAYER IN NEW JERSEY, HE HAS THE TOUGHEST WEAPONS LAW IN THE COUNTRY AND THAT THEY ARE AGAINST FEDERAL 1033 PROGRAMS BEING USED IN NEW JERSEY.
OTHER EMAILS, COMMENTS OR PHONE CALLS? SO, MS. STANLEY, YOU ASKED US A QUESTION ABOUT WHEN DO WE VOTE OR HAVE DISCUSSIONS.
SO WHEN WE MEET ON THE REGULAR MEETING AT 5:00, THAT'S WHEN WE HAVE QUESTIONS AND DISCUSSIONS.
ANY OF US WHO ARE ON LIAISON ASSIGNMENTS TO THOSE COMMITTEES.
AND WE ALSO RELY ON OUR PROFESSIONALS.
THEY HAVE TO BE PART OF A STATE AGENCY.
SOME BOARDS REQUIRE BOTH EVENLY DEMS AND REPUBLICANS.
SO THAT WOULD DETERMINE HOW WE SELECT THOSE PERSONS THAT ARE GOING TO THOSE BOARDS.
