NO ACTION WILL BE TAKEN AT THIS MEETING UNLESS THE MEASURE AND ITS ADOPTION ARE NEEDED IN A MANNER NECESSARY TO CONTINUE COUNTY BUSINESS.
HERE. MOVING ON TO COMMISSIONER REPORTS.
I KNOW WE WERE EXPECTING TO INTRODUCE THE BUDGET ON THIS EVENING.
THAT WILL NOT BE TAKING PLACE.
HOWEVER, THERE ARE SOME CONTINUED ACTION ITEMS BY US THAT WE WERE TO PROVIDE BY THE STATE. SO OUR HOPE IS THAT WE WILL HAVE IT INTRODUCED AT OUR NEXT MEETING, JUNE 7TH, JUNE 27TH.
WE ATTENDED LAST EVENING THE LEAGUE OF CONSERVATION VOTERS GALA, WHERE OUR OWN MELONIE MARANO WAS ONE OF THE HONOREES FOR ALL OF HER HARD WORK AND EFFORTS THROUGHOUT THE YEARS, EVEN BEFORE BEING IN THIS SPACE OF GOVERNMENT.
SHE'S BEEN A LONG TIME MEMBER OF THE SIERRA CLUB AND AN ADVOCATE, A STAUNCH ADVOCATE OF ENVIRONMENTAL EFFORTS AND CONCERNS.
SO CONGRATULATIONS TO COMMISSIONER MARANO.
THAT'S ALL THAT I HAVE AT THIS TIME.
WE DID HAVE A SAFETY BREAKFAST.
BUT WITH THE ALL THE EFFORTS THAT EVERYONE IS PUTTING FORWARD, WE THANK THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR COUNTY EMPLOYEES WHO ARE MAKING THIS PLACE A BETTER PLACE TO WORK, A SAFER PLACE TO WORK ALL THEIR EFFORTS AND COMMITMENT TO PUBLIC SAFETY, AS WELL AS SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE. SO KUDOS TO YOU.
AND THAT ENDS MY REPORT, DEPUTY DIRECTOR.
THANK YOU. AND CONGRATULATIONS TO COMMISSIONER MARANO.
SO OVER MEMORIAL DAY, I ATTENDED THE PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN DAY, HELD AT THE SOMERSET COUNTY VO-TECH SCHOOL.
THIS IS HELD THE THIRD THE THURSDAY BEFORE MEMORIAL DAY.
AND I HAVE TO SAY IT WAS QUITE AN EVENT.
I THINK EVERY YEAR IT'S GETTING LARGER AND LARGER.
THEY HAD MILITARY PERSONNEL THERE, GREAT SPEECHES, PERFORMANCES.
IT WAS IT WAS REALLY QUITE, QUITE AN QUITE A EVENT.
I ALSO WAS PLEASED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE BOUNDBROOK MEMORIAL DAY PARADE AND SPEAK AT THEIR CEREMONY.
AND I RECENTLY PRESENTED ON BEHALF OF THE COUNTY.
I RECENTLY PRESENTED A PROCLAMATION TO MATHENY MEDICAL AND EDUCATION CENTER AT THEIR ANNUAL MILES MORE MILES FOR MATHENY FUNDRAISING EVENT IN FAR HILLS.
MATHENY IS REALLY A REMARKABLE INSTITUTION.
THEY'RE LOCATED IN PEAPACK-GLADSTONE.
THEY PROVIDE EDUCATION SERVICES FOR CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES.
THEY ALSO HAVE A MEDICAL FACILITY FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES, AND THEY OPERATE VARIOUS GROUP HOMES THROUGHOUT SOMERSET COUNTY.
SO I WAS PLEASED TO SUPPORT THEIR MISSION.
AND THIS WAS MENTIONED, I THINK, AT THE LAST RECENTLY AT A COMMISSIONER MEETING WHEN WE APPROVED THE FUNDING. BUT I DID WANT TO REITERATE THAT THE COUNTY, THROUGH THE WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD, IS FUNDING A LITERACY INITIATIVE.
THE LITERACY VOLUNTEERS OF SOMERSET WILL BE THE LEAD AGENCY WORKING WITH VARIOUS LIBRARY
[00:05:03]
SYSTEMS AND PARTNERS.THERE'S GOING TO BE A COUNTY LITERACY NAVIGATOR WHO WILL HELP CONNECT ADULTS AND IMMIGRANT COMMUNITIES WITH ENGLISH INSTRUCTION, JOB SKILLS AND PLACEMENT SERVICES. THERE'S ALSO GOING TO BE TARGETED ESL PROGRAMS PROVIDED BY RARITAN VALLEY COMMUNITY COLLEGE ON THE GREATER RARITAN WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD WEBSITE.
THERE WILL BE PROGRAM INFORMATION AS WELL AS REGISTRATION AVAILABLE BY JULY.
THANK YOU. SO WE CELEBRATED CELEBRATED THE PATRIOT'S 25TH ANNIVERSARY OVER AT THE BALLPARK.
IT WAS NICE TO SEE OUR FORMER FREEHOLDERS AND THE COMMISSIONERS ALL UNITED TOGETHER THERE WITH THE CALIPER FAMILY, AND IT'S ALWAYS A GOOD SIGN WHEN YOU PULL UP TO THE BALLPARK AND YOU'RE PEEKING OVER AND YOU'RE SAYING, I WONDER IF THERE'S GOING TO BE PARKING BECAUSE THE LOT IS SO FULL AND EVERYONE, YOU KNOW, PULLING INTO THE TARGET PARKING LOT ACROSS THE STREET, THAT'S THAT'S WHAT WE LIKE TO SEE IS THAT THE COMMUNITY IS ALL COMING TOGETHER AND USING SOMETHING THAT WE ORIGINALLY UTILIZED OUR TRIPLE-A BOND RATING FOR AND OUR IMPROVEMENT AUTHORITY.
SO ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL YEAR FOR THEM.
ON FRIDAY, JUNE 9TH, THE SOMERSET COUNTY BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP HAD THEIR SIP AND C BUS TOUR. THEIR BUS WAS NEARLY FULL.
AND THEY VISITED FOUR DIFFERENT DISTILLERIES AND CIDERIES THROUGHOUT SOMERSET COUNTY.
AND, YOU KNOW, THIS IS JUST ANOTHER ONE OF THE WHOLE SERIES THAT WE HAVE WITH OUR PASSPORT TOUR. ON SATURDAY, STUMPY'S HAD THEIR FIFTH ANNIVERSARY.
SHE IS A ON THE LEADERSHIP TEAM WITH THE SOMERSET COUNTY BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP.
AND IT'S LIKE THE SAYING GOES, IF YOU WANT THE JOB DONE RIGHT, ASK THE PERSON THAT'S DOING THE MOST. AND SHE'S DEFINITELY AN EXEMPLARY PERSON.
OR IN OUR COMMUNITY THAT REALLY SHOWS THAT AND MENTORS SO MANY OF OUR PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY. AND IT WAS PACKED.
AND WHO DOESN'T LOVE THROWING A HATCHET? THAT CONCLUDES MY REPORT.
YES, IT WAS A GREAT, GREAT DAY AT STUMPY'S IN MY HOMETOWN OF GREEN BROOK.
SO COME ON OUT AND GIVE IT A TRY IF YOU HAVEN'T DONE IT YET.
I ALSO WAS ABLE TO ATTEND THE WEAR ORANGE EVENT, WHICH TOOK PLACE IN FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP PROMOTING SAFE GUN SAFETY AS WELL AS I'M SURE COMMISSIONER DRAKE WILL TALK ABOUT THE ROSE FESTIVAL OVER AT THE GARDENS.
THE ROSES ARE IN FULL BLOOM RIGHT NOW AT COLONIAL PARK, SO A REALLY BEAUTIFUL THERE, AS WELL AS OUR STABLES THAT HAD THE THE RIBBON CUTTING PER SE OF THE ROCKING HORSE REHABILITATION PROGRAM.
SO THAT'S A VERY EXCITING THING TO HELP FOLKS WITH WITH DISABILITIES AND RIDING AND THERAPY, THERAPEUTIC RIDING OUR FACILITIES DEPARTMENT, I'M HAPPY TO SAY, IN OUR RECYCLING DIVISION JUST UPGRADED TO ALL LED LIGHTS.
SO ANOTHER WAY, SOMERSET COUNTY IS TRYING TO CONSERVE ENERGY.
OUR TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT THE PAST MONTH DELIVERED 8286 PARATRANSIT TRIPS AND DELIVERED 8362 HOME DELIVERED MEALS.
THE UPCOMING HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE DAY WILL BE SATURDAY, JUNE 17TH FROM 9 TO 2, AND THAT'S TAKING PLACE AT THE SOUTH COUNTY GARAGE, WHICH IS 410 ROYCE FIELD ROAD IN HILLSBOROUGH THIS PAST SATURDAY.
WELL, ACTUALLY, TWO SATURDAYS AGO, WE HAD 614 CARS TO COME TO OUR FIRST SATURDAY EVENT.
OUR SHREDDING EVENT HAD 347 PARTICIPANTS.
AND JUST A REMINDER THAT JUNE IS CURBING HUNGER MONTH.
LOOK FOR THOSE BIODEGRADABLE BAGS ON YOUR RECYCLING BUCKETS AND PLEASE PUT YOUR DONATED FOOD AND GOODS ON TOP OF YOUR RECYCLING BUCKETS SO THAT OUR TEAM CAN COLLECT THOSE AND SHARE THEM WITH OUR FOOD NETWORKS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY CULTURAL HERITAGE EVENT. AS YOU ALL KNOW, JUNETEENTH IS TAKING PLACE.
IT'S A STATE HOLIDAY ON MONDAY.
THE COUNTY WILL BE CELEBRATING IT AT 6 P.M.
IT SHOULD BE A FABULOUS CEREMONY, SINGING, DANCE, SPOKEN WORD, SOME GOOD SPEECHES.
SO THIS EVENT JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER AND BETTER EVERY YEAR.
I ENCOURAGE YOU TO SPREAD THE NEWS, BRING YOUR LAWN CHAIR AND MAYBE CATCH DINNER IN THE IMMEDIATE AREA AND SUPPORT OUR LOCAL BUSINESSES THAT WAY TOO.
WHEN YOU COME OUT TO SEE THE EVENT, THE LIBRARY COMMISSION, GREAT NEWS THERE.
THE SCANNER, THE ARCHIVAL SCANNER HAS ARRIVED.
[00:10:03]
IT SHOULD BE INSTALLED IN THE MONTGOMERY LIBRARY WITHIN THE NEXT FEW MONTHS.SO ALL THOSE HISTORICAL DOCUMENTS, I'M HOPING THAT OUR CLERK CAN USE THAT, TOO, FOR SOME OF THE FABULOUS DOCUMENTS WE HAVE SITTING RIGHT HERE IN THIS BUILDING.
SO THAT'S VERY, VERY EXCITING.
AND THE LATEST EDITION OF THE SOMERSET COUNTY LIBRARY MAGAZINE IS OUT.
IF YOU HAVE NOT PICKED ONE UP, PLEASE DO.
IT IS LOADED WITH PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO VIRTUALLY IN PERSON.
THE LIBRARY DOES AN AMAZING JOB AND WE'VE GOT OUR LGBT ADVISORY GROUP MET THIS PAST MONTH. HAPPY PRIDE MONTH.
THERE'S ALL KINDS OF THINGS TAKING PLACE THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY TO CELEBRATE THAT.
THERE'S THE PATRIOTS PRIDE TONIGHT AT THE SOMERSET COUNTY PATRIOTS.
THE YMCA IN BRIDGEWATER HAS AN EVENT ON JUNE 28TH, THE YMCA IN HILLSBOROUGH ON JUNE 14TH, AND THE DOWNTOWN SOMERVILLE ALLIANCE HAS PRIDE NIGHT ON JUNE 29TH.
SO A LOT OF FUN THINGS GOING ON TO TAKE PLACE AND HAVE SOME FUN.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR A NEW MEMBER TO OUR GROUP.
THEY MUST BE BETWEEN THE AGES OF 18 AND 25 AND LIVE IN SOMERSET COUNTY, SO PLEASE LOOK ON THE WEBSITE FOR THE PORTAL.
IF THERE'S ANYONE THAT WOULD LIKE TO SUBMIT A LETTER OF INTEREST FOR THAT.
AND LASTLY, AT OUR LAST MEETING WE HOSTED KATIE STEWART FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH.
SHE'S PUTTING TOGETHER A FOCUS GROUP ON CANCER SCREENING FOR THE LGBT COMMUNITY.
IF THERE'S ANYBODY WHO WOULD LIKE TO PARTICIPATE IN THAT FOCUS GROUP.
THANK YOU, COMMISSIONER. AND JUST A FEW THINGS.
ON THE LAST WEEK, THE OFFICE OF AGING AND DISABILITY SERVICES, I ATTENDED A MEETING.
I SPOKE AT A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE AREA PLAN CONTRACT UPDATE.
THIS HEARING WAS WAS ESSENTIAL AND DISCUSSED THE TRENDS AND CONDITIONS OF THE AGING POPULATION IN SOMERSET COUNTY AND ALLOWED FOR MEANINGFUL PUBLIC COMMENT TO TAKE PLACE ON WAYS TO IMPROVE UPON THE DOLLARS THAT ARE SPENT AND ARRIVE THROUGH THE OLDER AMERICANS ACT. SO THAT WAS A GREAT EVENT.
CERTAINLY GOT A LOT OF GOOD INFORMATION.
ALSO LAST WEEK I WAS AT THE AG AND ACTION DAY.
THANK YOU TO THE PUSKAS FAMILY OF MIDDLEBUSH FARM FOR FOR HOSTING THIS EVENT.
IT WAS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO SEE WHAT IS WHAT IS LIFE ON A LIKE ON A REAL DAIRY FARM AND IS ACTUALLY THE ONLY REMAINING DAIRY FARM IN SOMERSET COUNTY BUT CERTAINLY IS AN ACTIVE FARM.
RAISES 60 60 DAIRY COWS AND THEY PRODUCE A LOT OF MILK FOR ALL OF US AROUND.
AND ALSO AS MELONIE, AS COMMISSIONER MARANO MENTIONED BEFORE, I DID ATTEND THE ROSE DAY FESTIVAL AT COLONIAL PARK.
IT'S A GREAT THING TO GO OUT THERE AND SEE.
THE ROSE GARDEN IS IN FULL BLOOM AT COLONIAL PARK.
THERE'S A WHOLE NUMBER OF DIFFERENT PLANTS, A VARIETY OF THINGS YOU CAN SEE, INCLUDING, YOU KNOW, TAKE A LOOK THROUGHOUT THE ARBORETUM IN GREAT SHAPE RIGHT NOW.
ALSO ON SUNDAY, I ATTENDED A WALK WITH PRESERVATION NEW JERSEY, WHICH IS A WALKING TOUR OF SOMERVILLE.
AND THAT WAS REALLY SPECTACULAR CONSIDERING THAT OVER 60 PEOPLE ATTENDED THIS EVENT FROM ALL OVER NEW JERSEY, CAME TO SOMERVILLE AND SORT OF LOOKED AT THE NOT ONLY THE ARCHITECTURE, BUT THE IMPORTANCE OF OF ARCHITECTURE IN OUR COMMUNITIES AND ENDED WITH A TOUR OF THE WALLACE HOUSE AND PRESERVATION NEW JERSEY ACTUALLY AWARDED SOMERSET COUNTY A CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION FOR ALL THE WORK THAT SOMERSET COUNTY HAS DONE TO SUPPORT PRESERVATION NEW JERSEY AND THE GREAT SPONSORSHIPS WE PROVIDED. THESE ARE GOOD GOVERNMENT AWARDS THAT WE ARE ISSUING TODAY.
PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS.
BECAUSE YOU ALL FINISHED YOUR CERTIFICATION PROGRAM WITH RUTGERS UNIVERSITY.
IF I IF I'M CORRECT, I DIDN'T BRING MY GLASSES.
SO I'M GOING FROM MY MEMORY HERE.
I'M NOT SURE IF YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT ANY OF THE PROGRAM OR THINGS YOU LEARNED FROM THERE OR OR JUST.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH, COMMISSIONER MARANO.
IT WAS GREAT. EVERYBODY SHOULD GO TO BENNY.
IT WAS 165 HOURS OF WORK THAT THEY ACTUALLY DID TO COMPLETE THE PROGRAM.
THEY PASSED THE PROGRAM AND THEY TOOK THE TEST FROM THE DCA THAT'S ADMINISTERED BY THE DCA, DCA, AND THEY PASSED.
I'M SUPER PROUD OF THEM, YOU KNOW, TWO GREAT GUYS, AND THEY DESERVE THE AWARDS THAT YOU'RE GIVING THEM. OH, WAIT.

I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU. IS THAT FOR THE SUMMER CAMP? THAT IS NOT FOR THE SUMMER CAMP.
THE SUMMER CAMP IS FUNDED THROUGH THE PRIVATE NONPROFIT OF IN SOMERVILLE.
I'M BLANKING ON THE NAME THAT RAISES MONEY TO FUND PROGRAMING THROUGH THE YOUTH SERVICES COMMISSION. THE TRAUMATIC LOSS COALITION IS A GROUP OF EMPLOYEES AND VOLUNTEERS THAT GO OUT INTO SCHOOLS IN RESPONSE TO TRAUMATIC EVENTS.
RESOLUTION 2312 TEN AUTHORIZING THE SOMERSET COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO APPLY AND ACCEPT FUNDING FROM THE NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR THE COUNTY HEALTH INFRASTRUCTURE FUNDING GRANT UP TO $764,613 FOR THE GRANT PERIOD OF JULY 1ST, 2023 THROUGH JUNE 30TH, 2024.
FUNDING TO BE UTILIZED TO DEVELOP, MAINTAIN AND ENHANCE INITIATIVES THAT PROMOTE HEALTH EQUITY AMONG RESIDENTS.
THIS WOULD BE A NEW GRANT FOR THE COUNTY.
THESE FUNDS WOULD ALLOW US TO DO A LOT OF THINGS THAT WE CAN'T DO WITH CURRENT GRANT FUNDING, SUCH AS THE TB CLINICS THAT WE CURRENTLY RECEIVE GRANT FUNDING FROM ANOTHER GRANT, WHICH IS NOT ENOUGH TO COVER ALL THE SERVICES THAT WE PROVIDE.
THIS WILL HELP OFFSET THE ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES FOR THAT.
THIS WILL ALSO HELP US TO INCREASE VACCINATIONS.
WE HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO PURCHASE VACCINE WITH OTHER GRANTS.
THIS GRANT WILL ALLOW US TO DO THAT.
SPECIFICALLY GERIATRIC VACCINES SUCH AS SINGLES AND PNEUMOCOCCAL PNEUMONIA.

THE TOTAL CONTRACT IS NOT TO EXCEED $18,000 AND THIS ALLOWS US TO TRANSPORT VETERANS FROM THEIR HOMES TO EITHER EAST ORANGE OR THE VA HOSPITAL.
IS THERE A PORTAL ONLINE OR A PHONE NUMBER? THEY CALL FOR THESE SERVICES ONCE.
THEY WOULD CALL OUR TRANSPORTATION DIVISION SPECIFICALLY.
AND WE DO THOSE SERVICES THROUGH TRANSPORTATION.
PAUL, DOES THAT COVER THAT $18,000? DOES THAT COVER EVERYTHING THAT WE DO THROUGHOUT THE CALENDAR YEAR? THIS ONLY COVERS ABOUT TWO MONTHS OF TRANSPORTATION.
AND THEN THE COUNTY OF SOMERSET PROVIDES THE MONIES FOR THE REST OF THAT FISCAL YEAR TO TRANSPORT VETERANS BACK AND FORTH.
OKAY. SO ULTIMATELY, THAT $18,000 ULTIMATELY COMES FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND THEN THE REMAINDER, WHICH IS PROBABLY 10/12, IS 5/6 OF IT IS FUNDED BY THE COUNTY.
YES. SOMERSET COUNTY PAYS THE REST OF THAT BILL.
ALL RIGHT. THANK YOU. YOU'RE WELCOME.

MOTION TO ADD RESOLUTION 23 1150 THROUGH 23 1163 TO THE AGENDA FOR OUR REGULAR MEETING.
WE'VE NOW COME TO THE PUBLIC PORTION OF OUR MEETING.
ANYONE FROM THE PUBLIC WISHING TO SPEAK, PLEASE COME FORWARD.
FIVE MINUTES. NO YIELD. ENOUGH TIME? NO COMING UP A SECOND TIME.
AND WE ALSO ENTERTAIN QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS FROM SOCIAL MEDIA AND EMAIL AS DESCRIBED IN OUR OPENING PUBLIC MEETING ACT.
IS THERE A MOTION TO OPEN TO THE PUBLIC? SO SECOND. ALL IN FAVOR? AYE. AYES HAVE IT.
I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO START, BUT.
WELL, COULD I START OFF A LITTLE ON A HIGH NOTE? I JUST WANT TO TELL YOU THAT THE BANKS REALLY RUN THIS COUNTRY.
IT'S THE POLITICAL PARTIES DON'T REALLY PLAY THAT MUCH PART IN IT.
KEEP SPENDING, SPENDING, SPENDING.
GOLDMAN SACHS, MORGAN, CITIBANK, WELLS FARGO, THEY HAVE $150 TRILLION WORTH OF DERIVATIVE TRADING.
NOW YOU START THINKING ABOUT THAT.
WHAT KIND OF INFLATION WILL THAT CAUSE WHEN THEY'RE BETTING A BET ON A BET? AND, YOU KNOW, IT'S JUST, YOU KNOW, INFLATION WILL JUST TAKE HOLD OF THIS COUNTRY AND YOU WON'T STOP IT.
WE'LL BE PAYING $300 FOR OUR HAMBURGER IF YOU'RE LUCKY TO GET A HAMBURGER.
AND WHAT ELSE DO I SAY? LET ME THINK FOR A SECOND HERE.
I WORKED WITH HANDS ACROSS NEW JERSEY.
WE HAD $11 MILLION BUDGET IN NEW JERSEY, AND WE HAD A MILLION SIGNATURES ON THE PETITION THAT THAT WAS IT.
THAT WAS ENOUGH. BUT NOW WE GOT A 50 SOME BILLION DOLLAR BUDGET IN NEW JERSEY.
TALK ABOUT NO RESPECT FOR TAXPAYERS.
THERE'S NO RESPECT FOR TAXPAYERS AT ALL.
IT'S CONSTANTLY SPEND, SPEND, SPEND.
AND I MEAN, EVEN THIS YOU HONOR THAT KIP BATEMAN, HE VOTED FOR, I THINK, 40 SOME BILLION DOLLARS. YOU HAD SOME KIND OF LIKE HE WAS DOING SOMETHING GREAT.
WHAT ABOUT THE TAXPAYERS, THE MILLION TAXPAYERS THAT VOTED FOR THE $11 BILLION BUDGET? THAT WAS ENOUGH.
BUT ANYWAY, I WORKED WITH HANDS ACROSS NEW JERSEY.
I WORKED WITH SOME GREAT PEOPLE.
THEY TRY TO DO THEIR BEST AND IT LOOKS LIKE THE FIGHT IS NOT OVER AND THE GOVERNMENT IS JUST WHAT ELSE WOULD I TELL YOU ABOUT? OH, YEAH, YEAH, YEAH. WE GOT A 30 SOME BILLION.
LET'S SEE. IS IT TRILLION DOLLAR 30 SOME TRILLION DOLLAR BUDGET? ALL RIGHT. AND ADDED THAT.
THERE'S LIKE $10.5 TRILLION WORTH OF INTEREST.
ALL RIGHT. NOW, A FRIEND OF MINE, HIS FATHER WAS A BANKER IN PRINCETON.
AND HIM AND I WERE GOOD FRIENDS.
AND HE SAID THAT THE INTEREST IS NEVER CREATED IN THE MONEY SUPPLY.
SO IT TOOK ME ABOUT SIX MONTHS TO REALLY START THINKING ABOUT ALL THIS STUFF.
AND I SAID, YEAH, WELL, WE'LL THINK ABOUT THE INTEREST ON OUR DEBT.
TEN AND ONE HALF TRILLION DOLLARS WORTH OF INTEREST.
WHO'S GOING TO PAY FOR THAT? WHERE'S THAT GOING TO COME OUT OF? THE MIDDLE CLASS IS GOING TO BE DESTROYED IN THIS COUNTRY.
I GOT SOME INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHINESE.
WELL, THE RALPH DELARIO, HE SAID THAT THE CHINESE ARE TRYING TO DESTROY OUR FINANCIAL CONDITIONS IN THIS COUNTRY.
SO THEY'RE REALLY HAMMERING AWAY AT US BECAUSE, YOU KNOW, THEY WANT TO BE KING OF THE HILL AND.
[01:00:03]
WELL, HE WAS SAYING.WHAT DID HE SAY? LET ME THINK HERE FOR A SECOND.
IT'LL COME TO ME IN A SECOND, BUT I CAN'T.
INFLATION WILL JUST KEEP RUNNING AWAY.
AND HE STUDIED HISTORY FOR MANY COUNTRIES.
AND THERE'S ANOTHER GUY I WANT TO MENTION, GEORGE SOROS.
ALL RIGHT. HOW DOES HE MAKE HIS MONEY? MAKES MONEY BY DESTROYING COUNTRIES AND THEIR CURRENCY.
AND A FRIEND OF MINE, HE PASSED AWAY, BRIAN STITZEL.
WE WERE TALKING ABOUT GERMANY BACK IN, I GUESS, THE 20S.
AND HE TOLD ME HE NEEDED A MILLION MARKS TO BUY $1.
1 MILLION MARKS TO BUY $1 BECAUSE THE CURRENCY, THEY LOST THE VALUE OF THEIR CURRENCY. THAT'S WHAT'S GOING ON IN THIS COUNTRY.
I'M A DONALD TRUMP SUPPORTER BECAUSE HE'S A FIGHTER AND I FEEL HORRIBLE WHAT'S HAPPENING TO MR. TRUMP. HOPEFULLY I SEE HIM TONIGHT.
BUT ANYWAY, WE GOT TO FIGHT THIS.
WE ALL GOT TO FIGHT TO PROTECT AMERICA.
THAT'S THAT'S MY JOB AS A VETERAN.
I TOOK AN OATH TO DEFEND AND PROTECT THIS COUNTRY AGAINST ALL ENEMIES, FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC. SO MY JOB IS TO FIGHT.
AND, YOU KNOW, MY FAMILY, PART OF MY FAMILY, I NEVER MY FATHER DIED BEFORE I WAS BORN, BUT MY FAMILY WAS OVER IN GERMANY WHEN HITLER WAS IN POWER.
AND ONE OF MY RELATIVES, VON BOESELAGER, HE TRIED TO KILL HITLER, BUT, WELL, THERE WAS 350 OTHER COCONSPIRATORS, TOO.
YEAH. I ALWAYS WONDERED ABOUT HOW HE MADE IT THROUGH THAT, YOU KNOW? WELL, THAT'S KIND OF SCARY WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT, RIGHT? BUT A FRIEND OF MINE, ACTUALLY, A RUSSIAN GUY, CHARLIE HORN'S THE GUY WHO TOLD ME ABOUT IT. I SAID, REALLY? I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THAT.
BUT I ONLY THE ONLY WAY I EVER LEARNED ABOUT MY RELATIVES WAS READING WAR WAR BOOKS ABOUT, YOU KNOW, DIFFERENT BOESELAGER'S AND THE GERMAN MILITARY, YOU KNOW.
WELL, ANYWAY, I APOLOGIZE FOR THAT.
I MEAN, THEY WERE ON THE OTHER SIDE.
THAT'S THE WAY IT WAS. YOU KNOW, YOU'RE ON ONE SIDE OR THE OTHER, BUT.
I THINK WE SHOULD ALL TRY TO FIGHT EVERYTHING, THOUGH, BE CONSERVATIVE AND TRY TO PUT VALUE IN OUR CURRENCY, BECAUSE ONCE YOU LOSE THE VALUE OF CURRENCIES, THERE'S NOT MUCH LEFT BECAUSE THINGS WILL TAKE OFF.
LIKE, LIKE I SAY, YOU KNOW, CAR LOOK AT THE PRICE OF A CAR TODAY.
THANK YOU. THERE ARE OTHERS THAT ARE WANTING TO COME UP AND YOUR FIVE MINUTES IS UP.
WHAT'S THAT? YOUR FIVE MINUTES ARE UP.
YOUR TIME IS FIVE MINUTES ARE UP.
ANYONE ELSE WISHING TO SPEAK AT THIS TIME? AND DO WE HAVE COMMENTS? WE HAVE NO COMMENTS EITHER ON SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS, PHONE CALLS OR EMAILS OR EMAILS.
ALL RIGHT. IS THERE A MOTION TO CLOSE THE
PUBLIC PORTION OF THIS MEETING? MOTION. ALL IN FAVOR? AYE. AYES HAVE IT.
