DIRECTOR ROBINSON.

HERE. SOME OF YOU WHO ARE JOINING US ONLINE MAY HAVE LOOKED AT OUR WEBSITE AND NOTICED SOME THINGS THAT ARE A LITTLE BIT

[REPORTS]

DIFFERENT. OUR DOMAIN HAS CHANGED TO SOMERSET COUNTYNJ.GOV.

THIS IS SO MUCH MORE SECURE AND FRANKLY, A LOT EASIER TO REMEMBER THAN CO.

SOMERSET.NJ.US, WHICH I FINALLY MEMORIZED.

BUT NONETHELESS THIS IS MORE SECURE AND A LOT EASIER TO REMEMBER.

AND OF COURSE ALL THE OLD LINKS WILL CONTINUE TO WORK IN WHAT WE CALL AN IT WORLD OF REDIRECT TO THE NEW DOMAIN, BUT FOR NOW ON TO BE SURE TO USE THE NEW DOMAIN WHICH IS SOMERSET COUNTYNJ.GOV.

WE HAVE OUR REORGANIZATION MEETING THAT WILL TAKE PLACE ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 3RD AT 3 P.M.

IN THE COURTHOUSE, HISTORIC COURTHOUSE.

WHERE DEPUTY DIRECTOR SOOY AND I WILL BE SWORN IN, ALONG WITH OTHERS WHO ARE ON COMMISSIONS, COMMITTEES AND BOARDS ARE BEING REAPPOINTED AND OR NEWLY APPOINTED.

WE WILL SELECT OUR LEADERSHIP ROLES FOR THE COMING YEAR AT THAT REORGANIZATION MEETING.

ON FRIDAY WITH OUR NJAC MEETING, WHICH IS NEW JERSEY ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES, THE TOPIC WAS AI AND CYBERSECURITY.

GLAD THAT THAT YOU WERE ABLE TO JOIN US MRS. [INAUDIBLE] IT DIRECTOR SHELLEY BELL.

AND I BELIEVE THERE WAS ONE OTHER PERSON.

WAS IT TOM FROM IT? THAT WAS THERE. IT WAS A GREAT TURNOUT, GREAT INFORMATION.

SO WE ARE ALREADY DOING SOME OF THE BEST PRACTICES AND THINGS THAT ARE IN PLACE.

SO THANK YOU TO YOU AND YOUR TEAM FOR ALL THE HARD WORK THAT YOU DO.

COMING FROM A IT BACKGROUND, THE MORE I TRY AND GET AWAY FROM IT, THE MORE I GET SUCKED BACK IN.

BUT NONETHELESS OUR TEAM IS DOING A PHENOMENAL JOB.

AND THANK YOU.

I WOULD JUST LIKE TO CLOSE WITH HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO EVERYONE AS WE ARE COMING UP ON CHRISTMAS NEXT YEAR.

I MEAN, NEXT WEEK.

EXCUSE ME, I'M ALREADY JUMPING INTO NEXT YEAR.

NEXT WEEK.

SO THAT ENDS MY REPORT, DEPUTY DIRECTOR.

THANK YOU, DIRECTOR ROBINSON.

AND SINCE WE HAD A MEETING PRETTY RECENTLY AFTER THAT MEETING, WE ENJOYED A HOLIDAY CELEBRATION OVER AT DRUMTHWACKET.

IT IS NOT JUST A TONGUE TWISTER, BUT IT IS THE OFFICIAL NAME FOR OUR GOVERNOR'S MANSION.

AND IT IS FANTASTIC.

AND PART OF OUR DEEP ROOTED HISTORY IN THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY THAT RUNS THROUGHOUT.

SO IT WAS VERY NICE TO, YOU KNOW, CELEBRATE WITH SOME OF MY FELLOW COLLEAGUES HERE AND OTHERS THROUGHOUT THE STATE.

[00:05:08]

ON MONDAY I HAD AN NJTPA MEETING.

AND AS IT COMES AROUND FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR, WE JUST START TO PRIORITIZE FOR 2025 AND OF COURSE, ADVOCATING FOR DIFFERENT PLANNING INITIATIVES TO MAKE NORTH JERSEY AS SEAMLESS AS POSSIBLE AS WE ARE THE MOST DENSELY POPULATED STATE IN THE NATION.

BUT HAPPY HOLIDAYS.

AND THAT CONCLUDES MY REPORT.

EVERYBODY'S GOING TO BE HAPPY TO KNOW I HAVE A SHORT REPORT THIS TIME.

FIRST OF ALL, THANKS TO ALL OF OUR STAFF, ALL OF OUR DEPARTMENTS, YOU'RE WHAT MAKES THIS COUNTY TICK.

SO PLEASE ENJOY YOUR DAYS OFF.

THEY ARE PUTTING THINGS INTO PLAY FOR A NAME CHANGE WORKSHOP.

IT WILL BE HELD ON JANUARY 9TH FROM 7 TO 8:30.

IT WILL BE A VIRTUAL EVENT.

YOU KNOW, A ZOOM EVENT.

SO THERE WILL BE A ZOOM REGISTRATION LINK COMING UP.

WE WILL HAVE AN ATTORNEY ON THE ON THE THE CALL THAT WILL BE GOING THROUGH ANY PAPERWORK FOR ANYONE WISHING TO MAKE A NAME NAME CHANGE.

SO IF THAT'S SOMETHING THAT YOU KNOW OF, YOU CAN SAVE A LOT OF MONEY BY HAVING FREE, FREE ATTORNEY FOR YOU TO HELP YOU OUT WITH THAT CALL.

AND THAT'S IT.

THAT CONCLUDES MY REPORT.

THANK YOU. THANK YOU COMMISSIONER.

ALSO A SHORT REPORT.

JUST WANTED TO SAY I SERVE AS A LIAISON TO THE PARK COMMISSION, AND THE WORDS I PROVIDED TO THEM THE OTHER DAY WAS, I HAVE NO REAL BIG REPORT, BUT I JUST WANTED TO RECOGNIZE HOW IMPORTANT OUR STAFF ARE AND THE GREAT WORK THAT THEY DO, NOT ONLY AT THE PARK COMMISSION, BUT THE SAME GOES HERE FOR STAFF AT THE COUNTY.

THE PARKS ARE GREAT.

THE PARKS ARE REALLY IN GREAT CONDITION.

ACTUALLY, SOME OF THE GOLF COURSES NESHANNOCK VALLEY, QUAIL BROOK, SPOOKY BROOK ARE ACTUALLY OPEN THROUGH THE THROUGH THE YEAR.

SO IF YOU'RE THAT HARDY OF A GOLFER, YOU CAN REGISTER AND YOU CAN GOLF EVEN IF IT'S TEN DEGREES OUT.

YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY THE GREENS FEES, BUT NEVERTHELESS ENJOY THAT.

AND FOR THOSE FARM MARKETS THAT ARE STILL OPEN, I ENCOURAGE YOU TO GO OUT AND PATRONIZE THE FARM MARKET.

I KNOW THERE'S STILL A LOT OF LIVE CHRISTMAS TREES FOR SALE FROM OUR FARMERS.

SO PLEASE GO OUT AND SUPPORT OUR LOCAL AGRICULTURE.

ALL RIGHT. AND WITH THAT, HAVE A HAPPY HOLIDAY AND HAPPY NEW YEAR.

THANK YOU. SO THIS MORNING, THE HEALTHIER SOMERSET COALITION HAD THEIR ANNUAL MEETING AND AWARDS BREAKFAST.

OUR FRIEND WALTER LANE WAS THERE.

HE ACCEPTED THE THE LEADERSHIP AWARD IN RECOGNITION OF OF ALL HE'S DONE OVER THE YEARS ON BEHALF OF THE COUNTY.

ALSO, THE SOMERSET COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH RECEIVED THE DRIVING CHANGE AWARD FOR THE VACCINE FOR CHILDREN PROGRAM THAT WE LAUNCHED THIS YEAR.

THIS IS WHERE WE'VE BEEN GOING INTO THE SCHOOL SYSTEM TO PROVIDE VACCINATIONS FOR, FOR CHILDREN WHOSE FAMILIES MIGHT NOT OTHERWISE BE ABLE TO AFFORD IT.

TO DATE, THE COUNTY HAS HELD 10 CLINICS AND ADMINISTERED 155 VACCINES TO 62 ELIGIBLE CHILDREN AND COUNTING.

SO CONGRATULATIONS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR THAT GOOD WORK.

ALSO, SEVERAL OF THE COUNTY COUNTIES FOOD BANKS WERE ALSO HONORED.

SO IT WAS A VERY NICE EVENT.

AND I JUST WANT TO WISH EVERYONE A HAPPY HOLIDAY, HAPPY NEW YEAR, AND I'LL SEE EVERYONE NEXT YEAR.

OKAY. THANK YOU. WE HAVE ONE PROCLAMATION WITH CHARLIE AND MATT, COME FORWARD

AND THIS IS SIGNED ON THIS DAY BY YOUR FIVE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS.

AND YOU WANT TO TELL US A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU ALL ARE DOING.

WELL, FIRST, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR FOR THIS.

AND WHAT WE DO IS WE COME OUT AND WE SPEAK AT IDRC FOR ANYONE THAT GETS A DWI, WE KIND OF SPEAK TO THEM, LET THEM KNOW THAT THEY DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS. THIS CAN BE THEIR FIRST AND LAST TIME, AND WE TRY TO LET THEM KNOW THAT THERE IS A WAY TO SOLVE IT.

YOU KNOW, WE HAVE FOUND 12 STEP PROGRAMS THAT WORK FOR US.

YOU KNOW, WHEN WE TRY TO SHARE THAT WITH WITH ALL OF THEM THERE, YOU KNOW.

AND IT'S JUST ALWAYS SO FUNNY I START OFF THE NIGHT, USUALLY I'LL START OFF AND I WILL ASK THEM I SAID, DOES ANYONE HERE HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ALCOHOL OR DRUGS? AND I NEVER GET A HAND UP, YOU KNOW, NO ONE WANTS TO SAY IT, AND THEN, YOU KNOW, WE GO ON.

I USUALLY BRING 3 OR 4 SPEAKERS IN, SO IT'S USUALLY A GOOD NIGHT, YOU KNOW.

SO BUT THANKS FOR LETTING US BE OF SERVICE.

THAT'S WHAT WE LOVE. I FIND IT INTERESTING EATING SO [INAUDIBLE] DON'T RAISE YOUR HANDS, BUT HOW MANY PEOPLE ACTUALLY DRIVE AND EAT? SO YOU'RE DRIVING IMPAIRED.
